What is Design Patent?
It is the protocol in which a product or physical model is considered and defined as a design patent, and the protection is formal; the intellectual property is given on the configuration of the product. This essentially prevents future or commercial use of it for those whose patent is not theirs. When registering a sample, you present the details of the product or model, its external appearance, and how it is used, thus preventing others from considering using or creating similar products. Registration refers to the physical asset itself, not to the idea or technology from which it was built. The parts are configured together in open and closed positions.
Registering a sample helps manufacturers and designers protect the work they put into designing and creating the products, and prevents others from bringing to market products that are significantly similar to the products they developed and/or copying the product. It has been proven and perpetuated that even products that are not exactly similar and are copied based on a particular product were banned from marketing, selling, advertising, and use.
Sample registration is done by the authority in charge of registering products in each country and is done in accordance with the laws and regulations reflected in that country.
